EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

The aim of activities is to provide all our students with the opportunity to participate in a wide range of extra curricular activities and so develop interests of a sporting, cultural or practical kind. All boarding pupils in Upper Elements (Yr 7), Figures(Yr8), Rudiments(Yr 9) and Grammar (Yr10) are required to do three activities each week. Syntax (Yr11) are required to do three activities in the Autumn and Spring terms but drop to one activity after Easter. All day pupils are encouraged to participate in activities. Activities are selected at the start of the Autumn and Summer terms.

If day pupils are not involved in an activity then they are expected to report to the library where they will sign in and are supervised by a member of staff for an hour of study.

MID WEEK ACTIVITIES - SUMMER 2008

All boarders must take part in at least 3 activities (Syntax, Poetry & Rhetoric 2). Day pupils can choose options if they wish. Day pupils who are in school between 4.45pm and 5.45pm and have not selected an activity must report to the Library and take work with them.
