Clubs and Activities

As well as music, drama, sport and CCF, there are many other activities for pupils to become involved in, as varied as fencing, the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme and Young Enterprise.  There are opportunities to be involved in activities at lunchtime, after school every day, and on Saturday mornings.
Our 2007/2008 Young Enterprise team reached the Regional Final, where they scooped the Marketing Trophy. The 2008/9 team won the Area Final.  Young Enterprise is for Poetry (Year 12) pupils, and this year's team will be hoping to rival the success of the previous teams!
Chess in the library is very popular, and six of our pupils won places in the Area Megafinal 2008. One of them then qualified for a place at the Northern Megafinal in Manchester.  The most popular chess event in school, however, is the fixture against the staff
