1. What access do boarders have to the facilities after lessons have finished?
Boarders have activities after school, followed by supper and then homework time. After this, boarders are free to do what they wish within the school and its environs during the lighter hours. Boarders have access to telephones and can use their mobiles freely during this time before bedtime. They also have access to internet and email on condition they follow the rules and good practice set out in our ICT code of conduct.

Boys and girls have separate boarding houses. All boarders within their house are expected to share with someone of their same year group. Sixth form boarders have their own rooms.

Toiletries, towels, casual clothes, uniform and books. They may bring their own bedding to make their room more personal, but bedding is provided by the college.

Years 7-9: 9.30pm/9.45pm
Years 10-11: 10pm/10.15pm
Sixth form: 10.30pm – 10.50pm. Saturday evening differs slightly.
5. What do they do after school is finished?
If they don’t have an activity at 4.30pm they can come back to the House to relax and spend time with their friends watching TV, listening to music, playing computer games as examples, but generally it is their free time until supper/studies from 6pm.
6. What do they do in the middle of the night if they have a problem?
We have a resident Head of House in both the boys and girls boarding houses along with an assistant. They are situated in the heart of the House and boarders only need to knock on the door of the Head of House with any problems they have. Our house master and mistress are available 24 hours a day.
