Companion Schools

One of the most exciting ways in which we try to live out our Jesuit ethos is through our links with our Jesuit Companion School in the Chikuni Parish in Zambia.  This link was established several years ago by Jesuit Missions in London, and links each of the seven Jesuit schools in Britain with a partner school in the foreign missions.  The programme is not just about fundraising however, but about learning more about each other.  Last year we held a Fun Night where pupils showed off their talents and held a fashion parade.  Photos and a recording of the event were sent to Zambia; in turn, pupils at St Canisius High have sent us news cuttings about their school and letters.

We hope in the future that our some of our school leavers can go out to Chikuni to teach English and help in other ways.
