This Co-Curricular Programme is just one part of Teaching & Learning. At the centre of this is a wide academic, cultural, and cross co-curricular programme led and driven by senior students for all pupils. There is an Enrichment Programme with Sixth Form Dinners with students acting as ambassadors and hosts to distinguished speakers including Bonnie Greer, Michael Cockerell, and Lord Butler of Brockwell KG, GCB, CVO, PC. There will be events for all students of all their varied interests and abilities to have the opportunity to realise their vision and ambitions. The Co-Curricular Programme will naturally benefit and support those pupils also following our A Level programme.

 

Also there will be a Sixth Forum Academic Forum to stretch the brightest and give opportunity for extended learning through the EPQ and A Level Plus programme. There will also be Gifted & Talented initiatives for all age groups.

 

At the heart of Teaching & Learning is a personalised learning experience – it is about engaging the young person in their learning and allowing all pupils, whatever their abilities & skills, to succeed. The aim will always be for students to become more independent, challenge themselves with new experiences and ideas, and be ambitious and creative.

 

For real teaching and learning to develop we seek an education which gives the best support for a personalised and fulfilling education with a clear aim for improvement and success. The starting point is a wide and diverse Enrichment Programme and extended learning for the College’s Gifted and Talented pupils. With this, and a Chair and Committee, there is a great opportunity for student leadership, enterprise and initiative. We hope all of this will allow all our pupils to develop real ambition and initiative.

 

This is also about a partnership between students, school and parents – all parents are most welcome to attend any of the Enrichment events, so please do get in touch if you wish to attend.
