XVP is a small agency of
the British Jesuit Province, based at the Mount Street Jesuit Centre
in Central London. XVP provides opportunities for former students
of Jesuit schools to continue to be “men & women for others”
in the best tradition of their Jesuit education, after finishing
formal study. Opportunities include voluntary service at home and
in the developing world, in Jesuit mission placements and other
faith and justice activities for young adults. We work in
close partnership with many other agencies, but especially Jesuit
Missions and the Jesuit Volunteer Community (JVC). Recently,
we have launched a young adult Sunday liturgy, once a month, at
the Jesuit church next to our office; called First Sunday, its on
the first Sunday of every month and is attended by alumni from many
places, including Mount St Mary’s.
